Auntie J’s Seared Ahi Tuna Salad
- 1 gallon ziplock bag
- 1 1/2 pound fresh raw tuna filets
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup Italian dressing
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ cup olive oil
- 2 tb glaze
- 1 bunch of lettuce
Clean the tuna under water and set aside.
Add pepper, salt, Italian dressing, garlic powder, olive oil, and tuna in a ziplock bag. Put it in the fridge to marinate for 30 minutes (or longer if you can).
Heat up the pan. Add olive oil in it. Pour sesame seeds on a plate.
Take the filets out of the fridge.
Dip the tuna filet in the seeds and coat both sides.
Add the tuna filet in. Be sure to cook for 4 minutes on each side. They cook up fast!
Cut the filet and put on a bed of lettuce. Drizzle with glaze.
